I'm going to post a Day 7 update so Kim Stracensky Nork can just come home and get some sleep. Our beautiful daughter Payton got herself totally ready, make up, hair and all for her performance tonight in Aladdin, which I'm sure was awesome yet again. She had to do this because Kim was still in Philly with Parker and I'm not very good at those things. Lol. She is truly the best daughter anyone could ask for. She has been a rock just like her mother. I can't wait until tomorrow night when I actually get to see her in it. Parker had a rough day. Was sick on the way to his treatment this morning so some of it had to be delayed. After awhile of poking and prodding him, they rescheduled for Monday. I went to work but pretty much was in a haze all day thinking about him. When this all first started I cut a hockey puck in half. I gave half to him, and kept half for myself. Knowing I couldn't be at all of his appointments and treatments I told him to hold on to it so that he would know that I'm always with him, always thinking of him and that I love him and that we will get through this. I had my half in my pocket all day anxiously waiting to hear from Kim. They found a genetic defect that if not caught early could hamper his ability to be cured. Luckily they found it early and are going to be able to change his treatments. It's kind of a double edged sword though. They are going to have to intensify treatment which may mean more or worse side effects, but it shouldn't hamper his ability to be cured too much. 🤞🏻 He's currently in bed hopefully having dreams of being back on the ice or Lax field. Again we can't thank you all enough for your support. R
eceived word today from some other HS and Minor league hockey teams that have some care packages for him and/or invited him to their games. Also found out that dear friends of ours have made up tshirts to support him and our family. Thank you all so much. I honestly don't think you know how much it means to us.
