2023 SPRING/SUMMER HOCKEY

 

Parker's Army Hockey will once again be forming teams for the 2023 Spring/Summer tournament season. 

The idea behind Parker's Army Hockey is to get a group of travel ice hockey players together who want to "Play for Parker", raise awareness for Parker's Army and our mission, and to have some fun playing together in tournaments over the Spring/Summer months.   

 

Our Goal:

The overall goal of Parker’s Army Hockey is to honor Parker Nork’s memory by playing the sport he loved. We had the idea to get friends and teammates of Parker together to practice and play in his memory while representing Parker’s Army in a positive and meaningful way as part of a close hockey community who loved Parker. Yes, We will play competitive tournament hockey, but our driving motive is to instill the team concept into our players and to have them strive to be good teammates on and off the ice as Parker would have wanted. We started our first year with around 60 players representing Parker’s Army and have grown to over 130 players each year playing on our teams!

 

By putting on the PINK Parker’s Army Hockey jersey your player will be carrying on Parker’s legacy and playing hockey for him with honor, respect, and sportsmanship.

 

PLAYERS MUST PLAY 2023-2024 USA HOCKEY AGE CLASSIFICATIONS 

 

8U / 10U / 12U / 14U / 16U / 18U

• 5 On-Ice Skill Development Sessions (approximately two/three sessions before each tournament) 

• 8U/10U/12U - All Half Ice Skills Sessions

• 14U/16U/18U- 2 Full Ice & 3 Half Ice Skills Sessions

 

TWO/THREE Spring/Summer Tournaments

• Some teams may do additional tournaments / Players can pick which tournaments they can attend

• These tournaments will be paid for individually by the team to provide flexibility to our players and coaches.

• Parker's Army Hockey Game/Practice Jerseys (2) & Socks (2) are included with registration.

• All age levels will pay a flat fee of $250 after registering your player which will cover: 

      (1)  Parker's Army Hockey Game/Practice Jerseys (2) & Socks

      (2)  5/6 On-Ice Skills Sessions at Winding River Skating Center

      (3)  a Donation to Parker's Army 501(c)(3)

 

For the tournaments, the Head Coach will choose which tournaments the team wants to compete in and then will collect the tournament fee from each player which will be broken up based on the cost of the tournament and number of players on the team. This will provide flexibility for players who can play only certain tournaments and give the coach control over tournament selection.

As always, we want to keep the costs as low as possible for each player.

 

NOTE:  Parker's Army Hockey will form teams based on the interest at each age level. It is possible that we can not accommodate all players.
