Most days I don’t leave the house. Usually because I have no interest anymore or it’s uncomfortable for me to be out alone. Today I was out with what I refer to as my “safe” people to return home to a wonderful surprise. Someone who I had met shortly after Parker passed, was standing in front of my house with a wrapped gift in her hands. After getting out of the car she explained that we had met before, that she shared my pain of losing a child and that she and her best friend had made myself and Patricia Hayeck Pollard a gift. Thank you for your pure kindness, your compassion and for understanding how important friends are. So, Kim, if you see this, please know how much we appreciate you and your friend for your kindness and the sweetest gesture for thinking of us. Thank you.
