It’s the little things you do every day. The things that you don’t think twice about. Like new school pictures. Something that would happen at the beginning of each year, marking a new grade. Something that we have hanging on our wall and change out the old for the new. The gut wrenching reality that his will never change. He will be forever in 4th grade wearing the only collared shirt he owned, just for his school picture. Hers will be changed year after year in going forward. Just like we always do. Her beautiful smile. That same smile her brother caused thousands of times. Don’t take the little things for granted. There are so many ways to stop and take a breath and enjoy the little things that aren’t so little.
