He didn’t stop every shot, he didn’t win every game but he did play with all heart all the time. He would expect so much from himself. He would get upset if he didn’t perform his best. Win or lose we were always proud of him. Win or lose he always got back up. It might not have been right away, but he got back up EVERY time.
It’s ok for kids to fail or not be the best. It’s what makes them human. Tell them you are proud of them. Tell them they can always do better if they try. No one is perfect, there is always room to grow, learn and improve. Parker knew that. He knew that we were so proud of him no matter what. I thank god every day that he knew. Please make sure your kids know too.
