This was us

Writer: Kim NorkKim Nork

Doing homework with Parker was always interesting. Some days were not so great (doing cursive), some days he would need a break to collect himself and dry his tears. I guess this day he was doing what he does best. I remember trying to help him and I couldn’t stop laughing or take him seriously. I miss every day after school that just the two of us would be sitting at the kitchen table chatting, snacking, wearing mustaches while doing homework. I love this memory. This is him. This was us.
