I've said it before, and I'll say it again, there is nothing like our community and our football and hockey families. The unbelievable support and love we have received has been overwhelming.
Today the Southern Rams AYF and Toms River Blackhawks both honored Parker in such a beautiful and kind way. Southern AYF presented a sign in pink and black with his #99 that will hang under the scoreboard for all the teams to tap before they go onto the field. His number was retired so no one will ever wear #99 again.
The Toms River Blackhawks honored Parker by hanging his jersey for everyone to see at the rink where he will always be honored and never forgotten.
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We thank you for loving him. We thank all the boys for loving him and were lucky to call him his friend. We don't know what we would do without all of you. I feel an unbearable pain knowing that all of this has been done because he is no longer here. But I know he is still with all of us in his own way. I know he is up there somewhere cheering on his boys out on the ice and on the field with that beautiful smile.
Thank you, we love you, Parker loves you. We are Parker's Army.
